Spring is a large community in southern Texas. It is positioned in Harris County and sits about 25 miles north of Houston in the Houston Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the United States Census Bureau, there were approximately 54,298 people living in Spring.

Spring grew as a community following the establishment of a trading post by William Pierpont in 1838. About two years later, what was known as Spring had a population of about 150 people. The community continued to grow as immigrants arrived in the area and farmed the land. In 1871, the Great Northern Railroad built through Spring. This caused the population of Spring to rise again. Two years later, a post office was established in the community. Spring continued to experience success throughout the 20th century. Today, Spring is home to many attractions, community facilities and amenities, and is a very popular suburb of Houston.
